Angus Flexible Pipelines has been at the forefront of layflat hose technology for over thirty years. The company has a proven track-record of innovation, and is breadth and depth of experience and expertise is unsurpassed.

LAYFLAT HOSE CONSTRUCTION

Angus Flexible Pipelines manufactures layflat hose from high tensile synthetic yarns which are circular woven and then totally encapsulated in a tough elastomeric cover and lining. Different yarns and covers are used for different applications, but what they all have in common is exceptional strength and hydraulic efficiency.

ADVANTAGES OVER RIGID PIPE

Layflat hose offers many cost savings and performance advantages over conventional rigid polyethylene, PVC, glass fibre or steel pipe:

Faster Deployement & Rerieval

Long continuous lengths can be quickly deployed and retrieved using light duty trailers, flaking boxes or power-driven reels. High flexibility and kink resistance allows natural ground contours to be followed without putting stress on the pipeline and eliminates expensive path-cutting work. Fewer joints and faster connections mean reduced labour and equipment costs. A comprehenisve range of handling equipment is available.

Easier to Store and Transport

Lighter and more compact for economical storage. Standard pick-up truck may be used instead of a flat-bed truck or fork lift. This reduces transport costs and enables direct routes inaccessible to larger vehicles and cranes to be taken.

Low Operating Costs

Superior hydraulic performance with lower pressure loss for efficient pumping. Swells in use up to 10% beyond uncharged diameter at maximum operating pressure enabling more fluid to be pumped.

Longer Service Life

Capable of operating continuously at high pumping pressures with minimal maintenance in even the harshest environments. Tough and durable with exceptional resistance to abrasion and cutting for use on a wide variety of ground conditions. Unsurpassed resistance to weathering. Suffers no corrosion or scaling. Resistant to heat, fuels, chemical, ultraviolet, ozone, weathering, hydrolysis and microbiological attack

Simpler Maintenance

Maintenance and repair can be completed in a fraction of the time required for rigid pipe. This means lower labour and equipment costs in addition to reduced downtime.

APPROVALS

Angus Flexible Pipelines products are variously approved by major approvals bodies in countries world wide including the UK, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany and the USA.

ACCESSORIES

A wide range of couplings, manifolds and hardware are available for connecting the pipelines to auxilliary hardware.

HANDLING EQUIPMENT

A wide range of reelers and other mechanical handling systems are available for storing, transporting, deploying and retrieving flexible pipelilnes. These can be custom-engineered to suit particular applications.
